Full accelerated bridge deck replacement of four bridges on I-89 in Colchester, VT. Under a CMGC contract, the contractor elected to utilize the AccelBridge Precast Deck System and other ABC techniques to demolish and reconstruct four bridge deck over the course of six weekend highway closures. The staging scheme utilized full highway barrell cross-overs to accomplish this feat.

CXC served as Independent Cost Estimator for the accelerated replacement of four bridge decks on I-89 over Bay Road and Mallett’s Creek in Colchester, VT. CXC prepared full quantity and cost estimates at the 60%, 90% and 100% design levels and assisted VTrans in their reconciliation and negotiation of final “not to exceed” price with their selected CMGC. CXC also developed an ICE Construction Schedule at each phase of the negotiations.
