Full deck replacement of 826-foot seven-span bridge over Lake Champlain utilizing proprietary Precast Concrete Deck System (AccelBridge). Accelerated bridge techniques will be implemented to reduce public impacts and restrict bridge closure to one construction season.

CXC conducted a site investigation to assess all viable construction options and their impact on the public and environment. During design development, CXC provided constructability review to report on all aspects of bridge reconstruction including the site constraints, traffic control restrictions, in water work window restrictions, construction sequencing, ABC techniques and potential QA/QC issues. Upon completion of the design, CXC developed a BUE for construction cost and a CTD schedule to confirm the schedule benefits of the AccelBridge Precast Decking System.
